MANDY - FOUNDER & OWNER

Mandy knows firsthand the transformative power of these tools. A year into her marriage, her husband, Pat, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. While completing graduate school, she became his full-time caretaker during his chemo and radiation therapy. For an hour each day, the yoga mat became her refuge—a place to be raw, embrace brokenness, and begin rebuilding. Yoga offered her the strength and courage to continue fighting through one of the most challenging periods of her life.

A year after Pat was declared cancer-free, Mandy became a yoga instructor. With over 1,000 hours of training, she is deeply committed to sharing the healing power of yoga. This journey led her to found The Teal Yogi, where she now helps others discover yoga’s transformative effects. Through trauma-informed conscious movement techniques and meditative practices, Mandy offers her students a holistic approach to healing, empowering them to begin recovering from both physical and emotional trauma.

KATIE - YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Though Katie had been practicing yoga casually for most of her life—as a way to stretch and reset—it wasn’t until 2023 that she began exploring her practice deeper. After the loss of her brother, her mat turned into a safe space: a place to land, to feel, and to come back to herself. From this, she was inspired to continue deepening her connection to the practice and eventually inspiring her to complete her 200-hour teacher training. She is especially passionate about holding space for others navigating grief and loss. Katie brings a grounding, open-hearted energy to her classes and loves creating a holistic space for others to show up exactly as they are.

MEGAN - YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Megan is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor with a mission to create a safe space for students to explore their inner selves and experience the many benefits of yoga. Her teaching is rooted in the belief that yoga is more than physical exercise—it is a holistic practice that nurtures overall well-being. Megan encourages her students to cultivate self-awareness, embrace their unique journeys, and honor themselves with compassion. She looks forward to connecting and sharing the joy of yoga.

DANA - YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Dana came to yoga over 20 years ago as a disconnected young adult and quickly fell in love with the practice. Yoga helped her stay grounded during her university education and work as a recreational therapist.

The events of the last several years have made Dana realize that time is not guaranteed and that she wants to spend her days sharing yoga and mindfulness with others. Dana is a yoga teacher who believes that connection is the key to peace.

She hopes to assist students in finding the balance they need to live their best lives by teaching them yoga, meditation, and mindfulness techniques. Dana believes that connecting with others is the most powerful thing we can do as humans. It's what brings us together, allows us to feel a part of something bigger than ourselves, and helps us find our place in this world.

JESSICA - YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Jessica completed her 200-hour trauma-informed yoga certification with The Teal Yogi’s Healing-Centered Teaching Method in 2026. A dancer for over 20 years, Jessica practiced yoga as exercise on and off for many years. Jessica worked in higher education and completed her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in Training and Development. After getting married and having 2 children, Jessica experienced debilitating postpartum anxiety. Now a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom, Jessica has found healing through practicing trauma-informed yoga. After personally experiencing the healing power of yoga and meditation, Jessica hopes to help others achieve peace and calm in a safe, accepting space where healing and reconnecting with the authentic self becomes possible.

STEPHANIE - YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Stephanie initially sought yoga in her late teens/early 20s as a way to continue expression through movement, after studying ballet throughout much of childhood. She began consistently attending yoga classes while working through her master's program in social work.

As she increasingly noticed the physical and mental health benefits of a regular yoga practice, Stephanie became determined to help others find their "way home" by connecting mind, body, and spirit.

Stephanie is a partner, adoptive parent, animal lover, and psychotherapist specializing in helping people impacted by trauma and addictions. She completed her 200 hour teacher training with Chi-Town Shakti Yoga + Meditation in 2020, 300-hour training with Pranayoga Institute in 2026, and is wrapping up a 1,000 hour IAYT accredited yoga therapy training program.

LIUCIJA - YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Liucija is a yoga teacher, trained educator, and researcher with a PhD in Political Science, where her doctoral research focused on political instability and the deeper conditions that shape society and human behavior. She believes much of the world's instability begins with disconnection, chronic stress, and imbalance within individuals.

For Liucija, yoga is primarily a spiritual path that supports nervous system regulation, self-awareness, and inner balance so we can show up better for ourselves and society as a whole. Her teaching blends traditional yogic practices with trauma-informed awareness in an accessible and grounded way.

She is Yoga Alliance-certified in 200-hour Hatha/Vinyasa and 200-hour Trauma-Informed Kundalini Yoga, and is currently pursuing her 300-hour yoga teacher training.

TORI - YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Tori has been practicing yoga for seven years and teaching for two. Yoga is a deeply meaningful part of her life and serves as her go-to space when things begin to feel overwhelming. She is certified in trauma-conscious yoga, a training that has deepened her understanding of herself, her practice, and the people she works with.

Tori is passionate about supporting others on their yoga journey and witnessing the powerful shifts that come from a consistent, intentional practice—watching students grow into their most authentic, beautiful selves.

Outside of yoga, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, and two dogs. She also loves traveling and being outdoors in nature whenever possible. She looks forward to connecting with you on the mat.

ALISON - YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Alison has been devoted to the practice of yoga for over 15 years. Throughout her journey as an art educator, entrepreneur, and mother, yoga has remained a steady anchor—cultivating her creativity, grounding her spirit, and deepening her connection to mind and body.

She recently completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification, with focused training in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga. Through this transformative experience, Alison has cultivated a profound sense of self-awareness and embodied a more expansive, integrated sense of self. She is now devoted to creating space for others to discover their inner balance and authentic voice.
